- CONCEPT (Council for Nature Conservation and Environmental Protection) is a voluntary organization registered under the Travancore- Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies registration Act (Act 12 of 1955 of The Government of Kerala, India). The organization is formed with the broad objective of promoting learning in the field of nature conservation and environmental protection. More specifically it intends to study the various environmental issues in a multi perspective framework. This means to say that the issue will be addressed through the disciplines of biological sciences, environmental sciences and socio economic perspectives, in order to create useful information for the common man for better understanding of various environmental issues and to help them to actively participate in the basic thinking process as well as to contribute to the ongoing debate.
